I started using Pihole to block DNS level ads and trackers. I block ads on my home network and I have another Pi at my parent's house so I can block ads for them as well.

Minecraft servers were the first ever addition to my homelab. Third party hosting was so expensive so I taught myself the ins and outs of hosting servers, enabling port forwarding, and implementing mods/plugins. Now my friends can skip me as the middle man and setup their own servers using CraftyController.

I host a Plex media server and share my 12TB libraries with friends and family. Additionally, I run Tautulli to send Discord webhook notifications for new additions and Requestrr for allowing people to request media through Discord.

I have two Raspberry Pi devices that individually run DNS adblockers and OpenVPN servers so I can remotely access my home network and my parent's network. I plan on using my roommate's 3D printer to experiment with cool Cyberdeck and RetroPi designs.

Central storage on any network is extremely important so I purchased a Synology NAS device and 12TB of storage for storing my Plex media, gaming vods, data backups, and much more.

I mainly wanted to run a Cloudflare tunnel for accessing the WebUIs of my services through the Internet, but it turned into purchasing a domain, hosting my own website, and even creating DNS records so my minecraft servers could have a domain instead of an IP address.

When my parent's moved into their new house, I repurposed the RJ-11 phone ports into RJ-45 ethernet ports because they used Cat 5 cabling. I learned how to terminate ethernet into passthroughs, keystone jacks, and patch panels. (The image shown is what it looked like before).

Once I have my ThinkCentre servers up and running, I want to create a simulated Active Directory environment using Windows Server OS.

This is a long term project that will involve buying an expensive dedicated machine for handling PewDiePie's Odysseus. I want to be able to have control over my own data while playing around with my own AI models and agents.
